Travel and Covid Testing

Be sure to update yourself with the current local requirements when traveling out of the country. Travel restrictions vary significantly by locale and are often subject to change with little or no notice. For example, travel to the USVI did require a test until July, 2022 but NO LONGER REQUIRES TESTING (today). Some islands still require tests and/or proof of vaccination. Travel to Mexico remains pretty open and there are no testing or vaccination requirements. **NOTE: these are often updated and subject to change so check the official website before traveling.

Mexico: While recommended by the US CDC, there is no requirement for testing or vaccination to enter Mexico. However, air passengers traveling to the US are required to present a negative COVID-19 test prior to re-entry to the United States.

United States: The CDC has guidelines and FCC continues to mandate masking for air travelers. Also remember that TSA will require passport or a Real ID beginning May, 2023.

It is always best to consult a travel professional prior to booking your vacation. A travel agent can give practical advice depending on vaccination status, testing concerns as well as discuss cancellation policies and travel insurance.
