It is probably too late to plan a big spring break, especially if you are on a budget. Many of the resorts are at capacity and most direct flights are already full. There are always last minute cancellations, so you may be able to find a place through trial and persistence.

For best results, plan your vacation 4-12 months in advance. It is now a good time to plan for summer, fall or even next winter’s get away.

Driving and staying at an Air B&B is another option for the cost conscious traveler. While this is not an area that travel agents will handle, you may be able to find a last minute rental unit on the Florida coast that can suit your spring break needs.
