Now is high season for both travel and travel planning. With all changes, Don’t wait until the last minute. Historically many travelers believe that the best deals may be had at the last minute. This may have been true in the 1980s when hotels or cruises were looking to fill up, and American Airlines formerly had deals to fill the planes. This is no longer the case. The best deals come by booking EARLY. Additionally, many providers offer price changes should the rates lower.

I booked a cruise for September, 2022 in September, 2021. When the price dropped during Thanksgiving Holiday/Black Friday, the cruise lowered the price to the then existing best deal. This is often not the case. In most cases when doing group bookings, the prices increase as you get closer to the travel date. The majority of the increase occurs as a result of airfare increases.

Experienced vacationers are booking now (November) for travel in Spring and Summer. You can still book for the holidays, but your choices may be limited and the costs may be steep. Whatever your travel needs or desires, call me to get the best information.
