When planning a trip often an all-inclusive vacation can help with budgeting as well as group travel. This includes cruises and all-inclusive resorts. These packages allow travelers to have a much better idea of the total cost of their vacation, since food and drinks are often both included.
I am often asked for the best deals, then in the same breath asked about Turks & Caicos. They re not the same and the term “deal” should not be used in the same sentence as Turks. The best deals are aboard cruise ships, in Mexico, and the Dominican Republic. You will generally spend 3-4x as much to get into an all-inclusive in Turks and Caicos.
It is advisable that those concerned about Covid restrictions should stay away from cruising for the time being. Having not only booked hundreds of clients, but also having been on dozens of cruises, visited the beaches of Mexico over 15 times and also visiting DR, I do have some insight on these locations.
- Most travelers are disappointed with DR. You are typically confined to your resort since outside travel is dangerous in this predominately third world country.
- Many people have an irrational fear of Mexico. The beaches are beautiful and the crime is very low. Actually, the tourist areas are less dangerous than Cincinnati. I do advise travelers to anywhere to act responsibly. This may mean not getting drunk , buy illegal drugs, or wandering the downtown streets at 2:00 a.m. Simply, act responsibly and know your surroundings… as you would in any US city.
- Cruising is coming back. Many awesome deals are available due to prior and current restrictions and fear of many travelers. Now is a great time to book the cruise. Moreover, cruises typically allow rebooking should anything interfere with travel plans. *A highlight of using a travel agent is if the cruise price drops after booking, your agent is able to adjust to the lower fair until final payment is made.
- Turks & Caicos is beautiful. If you have the budget, I do highly recommend. This island is not known for all-inclusive resorts. There are a couple of all-inclusive options, but be prepared for the steep price tag that accompanies this option.
USE a travel agent. LISTEN to their advice and ACCEPT recommendations.

Today, I went to the beach front with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed.
